  The Austrian Association in Support of the Blind and Visually Impaired is the largest self-help organisation for the visually impaired in Austria.   These efforts were audited and checked by independent, qualified auditors in a two-stage process. Both websites were awarded the highest WACA level in Gold and thus serve as role models for digital accessibility. The two websites were audited and re-certified in 2024.   The ÖBB-Infrastruktur was re-certified in 2022 and the WACA certification was extended for further 3 years. With around 18,700 employees, they plan, develop, maintain and operate the entire Austrian rail infrastructure. Only minimal deviations from WCAG 2.1-AA were found on the website, which may well be possible due to the complexity and size of the website. With regard to the overall assessment of the website, the auditor team decided on WACA in silver. We congratulate those responsible and implementers at ÖBB on this award. Excluded from the audit were external websites with a different URL as well as internal areas.

  The web-based application "Fabasphere" of the Linz-based company Fabasoft largely complies with the WCAG 2.2 - AA requirements and was re-certified in WACA Silver in 2025. As a representative sample of this product, 2 use cases were defined and intensively tested. This application does not exclude any users and allows everyone to use it. Due to the complexity of the user interface, however, it is recommended that keyboard users read the corresponding help page. Due to the improvements made during the certification process, it was possible to generally increase the quality of the Fabasoft product.

  The website of Casinos Austria AG www.casinos.at and the associated webshop shop.casinos.at meet the accessibility requirements of WCAG 2.2 – AA to a very high degree.
