  For the first time, a native app for the IOS and Android operating systems was awarded the WACA certificate in Silver. Congratulations to the Public Employment Service Austria (AMS Austria). The "AMS alle jobs" app in version 4.11.0 in German was tested and audited according to the W3C guidelines (WCAG 2.1-AA) and in accordance with the European Standard EN 301 549 - V3.2.1. Digital accessibility is a very important issue for AMS Austria and they are therefore a role model for public institutions. The app enables easy and quick access to job offers in Austria. AMS job offers and job offers from other job platforms can be searched using a search function.

  DONAU Versicherung, an insurance company, has optimized their website for accessibility. Now it is very accessible for everyone and has therefore been awarded the WACA certificate in Bronze. The Austrian company bases its understanding of sustainability on the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and also attaches great importance to digital accessibility.   The “ÖBB Italia” website is very accessible in German and Italian and has therefore been awarded the WACA Silver. The Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) has developed special products and offers for travelers between Austria and Italy and created its own barrier-free website. Technically, it has the same structure as the already certified website oebb.at, so a reduced test sample could be used. In addition, the Italian site was tested by a native speaker in order to also take the language component into account in the certification. External contents concerning the schedule of trains and ticket bookings and reservations are excluded from the certificate, as the website operator has no control over these tools.   “Postbus” is the largest public bus company in Austria and as a subsidiary of Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) additionally part of the largest mobility provider in Austria. Postbus operates more than 2,500 buses to ensure that each year 200 million passengers reach their destinations. Web accessibilty is an important concern for ÖBB and therefore the Postbus website was made very accessible and awarded the WACA Silver.   The Austrian Parliament's building management app was created for the Android operating system by the agency BIG Pocket House GmbH and implemented barrier-free and was awarded the WACA Bronze certificate. The application is only available on smartphones and is only intended for internal Parliament employees. It is therefore not available in the App Store.
  We warmly congratulate you on the successful implementation. Native apps are still a big challenge to create them in an optimal, barrier-free manner according to WCAG.

  The "Whistleblower Software" was subjected to a in-depth accessibility test based on a test platform in English and was awarded WACA Silver. The Whistleblower Software ApS., headquartered in Denmark, is one of the leading providers of this software in Europe.   The ÖBB-Infrastruktur was re-certified in 2022 and the WACA certification was extended for further 3 years. With around 18,700 employees, they plan, develop, maintain and operate the entire Austrian rail infrastructure. Only minimal deviations from WCAG 2.1-AA were found on the website, which may well be possible due to the complexity and size of the website. With regard to the overall assessment of the website, the auditor team decided on WACA in silver. We congratulate those responsible and implementers at ÖBB on this award. Excluded from the audit were external websites with a different URL as well as internal areas.

  The web-based application Fabasoft Business Process Cloud of the Linz-based company Fabasoft largely complies with the WCAG 2.1 - AA requirements and was re-certified in WACA Silver in 2022. As a representative sample of this product, 2 use cases were defined and intensively tested. This application does not exclude any users and allows everyone to use it. Due to the complexity of the user interface, however, it is recommended that keyboard users read the corresponding help page. Due to the improvements made during the certification process, it was possible to generally increase the quality of the Fabasoft product.
  Congratulations! This shows that software applications can and should also be designed in an accessible way.

  The website of ÖBB-Personenverkehr AG in German and English is highly accessible and consequently received the WACA Silver certificate. External contents concerning the schedule of trains (SCOTTY) and ticket bookings and reservations are excluded from the certificate, as the website operator has no control over these tools. These are independent websites and therefore not part of the website oebb.at.
